At H&S Manufacturing, we are industry leaders in custom manufacturing solutions for a wide variety of industries. This client was dissatisfied with the quality of products they were receiving from their current supplier and came to us for an improved product.

This chassis probe assembly was part of a frequency tester and constructed from 304A stainless steel. It was imperative that these components were free of any defects. We engineered the process and implemented procedures that would ensure these requirements would be met. Various CNC metal fabrication capabilities were used on this project including forming, laser cutting, and CNC punching and milling. Requiring fans and procured plastic bezels, this chassis was assembled utilizing our mechanical assembly capabilities and had final dimensions of 8.270" x 7.341" x 1.669".

This product had a natural stainless steel finish and corrosion resistance was improved through passivation per AMS-QQ-P-35C. In addition, the lid for this unit received a durable powder coated finish.

Our quality measures for this project were essential to meeting the zero-defect requirement; we performed in-process testing for dimensional integrity and implemented 100% visual inspections on each part. We upheld tolerances of ±.005" and fulfilled the requirements of the customer for a zero defect product.
